This program introduces students to the principles of modern linguistics, various aspects of the Russian language and culture, as well as digital technologies in contemporary linguistics.
During the master’s program, students study both theoretical and practical aspects of the Russian language in depth and are trained as highly qualified specialists capable of working in the fields of international communication, academic research, and education.

Educational objective: To develop skills for distinguishing sections of linguistics, working with dictionaries, strengthening morphological analysis abilities, and enriching vocabulary through the introduction of new words.
Developmental objective: To enhance speech, memory, attention, thinking, curiosity, and independent learning skills.
Educational and moral objective: To cultivate respect for the language, encourage interest in the mother tongue, and foster accuracy and neatness in linguistic practice.
Conceptual objective: To develop an understanding of language as a system of signs and as a means of human communication.
Practical skills: To develop the ability to analyze texts, extract necessary information, read expressively, and strengthen spelling and punctuation skills.

Expected outcomes:
• Knowledge of major areas and modern trends in linguistics and methods of teaching the Russian language.
• Understanding of the theoretical foundations of phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexicology, semantics, and pragmatics of the Russian language.
• Mastery of principles and methods for comparative, typological, and functional language analysis.
• Familiarity with modern concepts and approaches in sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and applied linguistics.
• Knowledge of linguoculturology, cognitive and communicative linguistics.
• Awareness of regulatory and legal documents in education and linguistics.
• Ability to use modern digital technologies and tools for linguistic research and teaching Russian.

After completing the master’s degree in Linguistics, graduates can work in various fields, such as:
Higher and general education: Teaching Russian language courses at universities and other educational institutions.
Economic and social sectors: Providing consulting services for joint enterprises engaged in economic and cultural cooperation.
International departments of companies: Graduates may also be employed by research institutes or computer firms developing linguistic software.
