Central Asia and Azerbaijan Women Scientists Forum Held in Bukhara
Bukhara hosted an international forum for leading women scientists from Central Asia and Azerbaijan to discuss female leadership in science and innovative collaboration.
On May 13, 2026, the international forum "Women's Leadership in Science: Contemporary Challenges, Innovative Solutions, and Scientific Cooperation" was held in Bukhara as part of the Dialogue of Leading Women of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan. The event brought together female scientists, parliamentarians, and international experts from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
Key panel sessions focused on sustainable development, ecology, artificial intelligence, and the prospects of applying "green" technologies in education and medicine. The forum concluded with the adoption of a Joint Communiqué to establish the "SheScience Central Asia" regional network for women scientists, aimed at fostering scientific cooperation and enhancing the leadership potential of women in science across the region.
