ABOUT THE FACULTY In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-5987 dated April 29, 2020 “On the radical improvement of legal education and science in the Republic of Uzbekistan” and the order of the rector of Samarkand Davlan University No. 290-ij dated June 20, 2020, the Faculty of Law was established at Samarkand State University. The faculty is preparing bachelor's degrees in the following specialties: 5240100-"Jurisprudence", 5111600-"National idea, foundations of spirituality and legal education", "Philosophy", master's degrees in the following specialties: 5A 120503-Ethics and aesthetics, 5A111601 Methodology of teaching social and humanitarian sciences (foundations of spirituality), 5A120501-Philosophy (by field), as well as basic doctoral and doctoral degrees in the following specialties: "Social philosophy", "Ontology, epistemology and logic". Today, the faculty has the departments of Law and Legal Education, Philosophy and National Idea, and an experienced teaching team consisting of 7 doctors of sciences, 29 candidates of sciences (including 15 doctors of philosophy (PhD)), and 15 associate professors. The faculty has 432 bachelors - 164 in the 1st year, 116 in the 2nd year, 91 in the 3rd year, 60 in the 4th year, 13 masters in the 1st and 2nd years, and 22 academic groups.
