Description:

This educational program will help you acquire knowledge and skills in one of the natural sciences - geography. “Geography” is a field of natural sciences that includes design, research, administrative, management and teaching work related to the study of the Earth.

The study of modern disciplines for four years develops the professional competencies of students in the Geography direction in the following areas:

• natural, anthropogenic, natural-economic, ecological-economic, social and production systems at the local, regional, national and global levels;
• environmental protection;
• sustainable development at all levels;
• education;
• population health;
• demographic processes;
• environmental management, control and monitoring;
• various types of economic activities.

The educational program “Geography” over 4 years (8 semesters) will include 240 credits. In total, the training program involves 6120 hours of classes, including:

Classroom training: 2730 hours

Self-education: 3390 hours

Qualifying practice: 630 hours

State certification or final qualifying work in specialized subjects: 450 hours

• 1 credit is 30 academic hours;
• In order to ensure theoretical and practical integrity, qualification practice is carried out in organizations and enterprises;
• Assessment of students’ knowledge is carried out on the basis of regulations developed in accordance with the credit system.
