State scholarship named after Islam Karimov

 Islam Karimov State Scholarship is awarded and paid to students in their 3^rd and 4^th years of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, including both state and foreign universities, as well as joint education programs.

The following requirements are set for candidates participating in the scholarship:

-strong academic performance and active involvement in research (scientific) or extracurricular activities;

-participation in schientific conferences or competitions;

-a well-rounded understanding of the history of Uzbekistan;

Applicants must be proficient in both uzbek and any one foreign language, excluding languages of CIS member states. If a students’ bachelor degree program is considered as a foreign language, then an additional foreign language is required. These students will have a specific language interview conducted by the university's language department to assess their language proficiency.
