The Faculty of Agribusiness and Digital Economy was established in 1991 under the name Faculty of Economics. Initially it included the departments of Agricultural Economics and Production Organization, Agricultural Management and Computing Technology, and Political Economy.
In 1995 new departments were opened: Management and Marketing, Computer Technology and Informatization, and Higher Mathematics. In 1996 the Department of Accounting and Audit was established. The faculty admitted 69 students in its first year; today enrollment exceeds 800 students.

Cooperation
The faculty collaborates with leading universities including Tashkent State Agrarian University, Tashkent Financial Institute, Andijan Institute of Construction and Economics, and the National Research University of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. International cooperation includes Germany’s Weihenstephan‑Triesdorf University (LOGO program), where more than 100 students completed internships and 20 continued Master’s studies.

According to Presidential Decree No. PQ‑73 dated February 24, 2023, the Faculty of Sericulture and Mulberry Cultivation was established on the basis of the Faculty of Storage and Processing of Agricultural Products.

Facilities
The faculty has 32 modern classrooms equipped for lectures, laboratory and practical classes, including specialized laboratories with modern equipment.

The faculty collaborates with universities and research institutes in Latvia, Italy, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Korea, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Five faculty members completed international internships.

The Faculty of Agroengineering and Hydromelioration is closely connected with the history of the institute. It began operating in 1960 in Andijan as a branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. In 1964, when the Andijan Cotton Institute was established, it included the faculties of Agricultural Mechanization and Hydromelioration.
In 1997 these two faculties were merged and named the Faculty of Agroengineering. According to the ministerial order of August 29, 2020, it has been operating under its current name — Faculty of Agroengineering and Hydromelioration.
Achievements
To date, more than 20,000 highly qualified specialists have graduated from the faculty and are successfully working in agricultural and water management sectors across Uzbekistan and abroad.

Three specialized departments employ 89 professors and teachers, including 8 Doctors of Science (Professors) and 33 Candidates of Science (Associate Professors).
Achievements and Cooperation
Students regularly win Ulugbek and Beruni State Scholarships and prizes in national and institutional competitions. Faculty members collaborate academically and scientifically with universities in the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
On November 3, 2015, in accordance with Resolution No. 311 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Faculty of “Plant Protection and Fruit and Vegetable Growing”, which separated from the Faculty of Agronomy, was established as an independent faculty. Associate Professor Z. Bo‘stonov headed the faculty.
Based on Resolution No. 220 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 7, 2017, the Faculty of “Plant Protection and Agrochemistry” was established. Five departments were incorporated into the faculty structure.
Four of them are specialized departments:

The departments employed 5 Doctors of Science (Professors), 18 Candidates of Science (Associate Professors), 11 Senior Lecturers, and 5 technical staff members — a total of 39 faculty and staff. The faculty enrolled 725 students.

Currently, the Dean of the Faculty is PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor S.R. Xatamov.
Practical training предусмотрed by the curriculum — including academic, industrial (entomology, phytopathology, agrochemistry), and pedagogical internships — is conducted in agricultural enterprises, quarantine inspections, agricultural departments, clusters, and agrochemical laboratories of the Fergana Valley regions.
Research papers of faculty members and students are published in the newspaper “Andijon Yoshlar”, various academic collections, and proceedings of national and international conferences. Members of student scientific clubs regularly become recipients of prestigious scholarships and winners of competitions.
The faculty has established international cooperation. Under agreements with foreign partners, students undertake internships at foreign higher education institutions and research institutes in agriculture, including:

The Faculty of Agrobiology was established in 2018 on the basis of the former Faculty of Agronomy, which had existed since 1964. Over the years the faculty was headed by a number of distinguished scholars. The current dean is Ibrohimjon Tursunov.

81 academic staff including 8 Doctors of Science, 38 PhD/Associate Professors, 14 Senior Teachers and 21 Assistants. Last year 12 teachers earned PhD degrees and 6 received academic titles.
Student Achievements
Recent years: 1 Presidential Scholar, 3 Beruni Scholars, 8 winners of Student of the Year competitions.
Research and Cooperation
The faculty collaborates with leading research institutes of Uzbekistan and conducts research on advanced agro‑technologies for high‑quality yields. New cotton varieties Andijan Ziyo‑1, 2, 3 were developed; new soybean and mung bean varieties are under research.

Internships
Students undertake practical training in leading agricultural enterprises of Andijan, Fergana and Namangan regions.
