Cooperation with Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Bangladesh

Concluding her official visit to the People's Republic of China, Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz, Rector of Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction, visited Daffodil University located in Dhaka, the capital of the Republic of Bangladesh, to expand the university’s international cooperation network.

At the beginning of the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of Daffodil University, led by its rector, Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder. The meeting focused on prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in creating favorable conditions for students—especially doctoral and research students—initiating joint scientific research and dual degree programs, organizing internships for faculty members, and establishing summer schools for students.

In the second half of the day, Rector Dr. Chidem Turkyilmaz delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Architecture of Daffodil University, dedicated to sustainable architecture, modern design principles, and the preservation of cultural heritage sites. The ideas and scientific insights presented in the lecture sparked great interest among attending professors, doctoral candidates, and graduate students.
