Requirements for subjects and practices that ensure the acquisition of general and professional competencies

The curriculum of the undergraduate course is formed based on the credit-module system and, by the requirements for professional competence, students master compulsory and elective subjects, undergo internships and, as a result, acquire the necessary knowledge, and skills and will develop the content that ensures the acquisition of skills competencies.

1. Compulsory subjects (in logical order):

Logically continuous subjects - a set of subjects that complement each other in a logical sequence. In this case, the failure of the student to receive credit in the subject that precedes it may result in the student not being admitted to the training in the subject that is the next logical continuation.

Separate subjects are non-continuous subjects that serve to form professional competencies independently. In this case, if the GPA is sufficient for the student in these subjects to not receive credit, it will allow the student to continue training in other subjects at the next stage.

2. Elective subjects.

Elective subjects of in-depth specialization are a set of subjects that serve to provide additional knowledge in in-depth subjects and to expand the competencies necessary for a direct specialization based on specialization. Not less than 80% of the hours allocated to elective subjects can be allocated to these subjects.

Subjects focused on personal interest - subjects aimed at supporting the student's personal interests, creative approaches, and talents, regardless of the chosen field of study. No more than 20% of the hours allocated to elective subjects can be allocated to these subjects.

General requirements for the content of subjects in the curriculum

1. Compulsory subjects

It consists of a set of subjects that serve to expand the professional competence of students, taking into account the acquisition of additional in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, taking into account innovative methods and regional factors of the field, and each choice is less than three subjects. Substitute subjects may be included. For elective subjects in the curriculum, the total number of the complex can be up to 10.

3. Skilled Practice.

The following qualification practices are carried out during the preparation of bachelors:

In stages 2, and 3, professional practice - in production (in enterprises, organizations, and institutions of the relevant field) is focused on strengthening the theoretical knowledge obtained from general and specialized sciences and combining it with practical (production) processes, forming relevant practical skills, competencies, and qualifications ;

In the 4th stage, professional practice - in production (in enterprises, organizations, and institutions of the relevant field) focuses on further strengthening professional skills, adaptation to professional activity, collection, and systematization of information for preparation of graduation qualification work;

Other types of qualification practices may be used according to the specific characteristics of the educational fields.

Qualification: Metrology and standardization engineer.
