The field of study, Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language, is a specialization within education and social services. It encompasses the complex of tools, methods, and styles of human activity directed at developing and defining the prospects of national linguistics, forming professional skills, and developing accountability competencies.

Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language is one of the most prestigious fields, and personnel in this specialization have been trained in our country for over 100 years.

Program Objective

To provide students with deep theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of Uzbek Philology concerning subjects such as Modern Uzbek Literary Language, History of Language, Theory of Linguistics, Literary Studies, History of Literature, Theory of Literature, and Current Literary Process. To train a Philologist specialist capable of operating in various sectors of society.

Outcome

Upon mastering the 4-year curriculum, graduates receive a diploma as a Philologist Specialist in Uzbek Language and Literature. Graduates will be able to continue their education in Master's programs across more than 70 specializations.

Undergraduate Curriculum:

• In the 1st-2nd years, students study philological subjects (Office Management in the State Language, Theory of Linguistics I, Theory of Literary Studies I, The Most Recent History of Uzbekistan, Normal Physiology, The Most Recent History of Uzbekistan, etc.).
• In the 3rd-4th years, students study philological subjects (Comparative Literary Studies, Modern Uzbek Literary Language, World Literature, Uzbek Folklore, Uzbek Dialectology, etc.).

A Bachelor in 5120100 – Philology and Language Teaching (Uzbek Language) after professional training may engage in the following types of professional activities:

• Scientific Research Activity in the objects of the specified professional spheres: text interpretation, comprehension and perception, regulatory documents of the educational process, study of modern pedagogical technologies, technical means of education, and training of competitive personnel;
• Spiritual and Educational Activity (Ma'naviy-Ma'rifiy faoliyat);
• Pedagogical Activity (in the system of general secondary education schools and secondary specialized education);
• Organizational and Managerial Activity: conducting pedagogical activities for specialized subjects in general secondary schools, academic lyceums, and professional colleges, engaging in scientific research at scientific research institutions, increasing the effectiveness of Spiritual and Educational work in local governments (Khokimiyats), ministries, committees, associations, companies, and organizations;
• Consultant on issues concerning the ensuring compliance with legislation on the State Language;
• Journalist in television and mass media;
• Working as an Editor in publishing houses.
