Indian Delegation Visited UrSU: Cooperation Meetings and Yoga Sessions Organized
Urgench State University discussed academic partnerships with Indian representatives and hosted a yoga workshop for students and staff.
Today, Urgench State University, in cooperation with the Indian Embassy in Tashkent and the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan, organized yoga sessions. The university welcomed Mr. Sharad Munde, a yoga teacher from the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre, Mr. Kirti Singh Rawat, a representative of the Indian Embassy, and Ms. Umida Akhmedova, an assistant at the Cultural Centre.
During the official meeting led by the Head of the International Cooperation Department, the parties discussed developing ties with Indian higher education institutions, establishing student and faculty exchange programs, and attracting Indian youth to study at UrSU. The conversation also touched upon inviting professional yoga instructors from India to the university. Currently, yoga classes are being held in the university's gym with active participation from students and staff.
