Automation of production processes is the main direction in which production is currently moving all over the world. Everything that used to be performed by man himself, his functions, not only physical but also intellectual, are gradually being transferred to technology, which itself performs technological cycles and controls them.

Thus, automation of technological processes is a set of methods aimed at replacing human physical labor, spent on the control of mechanisms and machines, with the work of special devices that provide this control (regulation of various parameters, obtaining the specified productivity and quality of the product without human intervention).
