About the programme
The Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering programme is designed to train specialists in the generation, transmission, distribution and efficient use of electrical energy, as well as the operation of electrical equipment.
Students study electrical circuits, electrical machines, electronics, power supply for industrial enterprises, power plants and substations, relay protection and automation, electric drives, high-voltage equipment, energy efficiency and the fundamentals of renewable energy.
Practical training includes electrical engineering calculations, analysis of power system operating modes, design of power supply schemes, equipment diagnostics and the solution of problems related to the reliability and safety of electrical installations.
Special attention is given to the uninterrupted power supply of industrial facilities, improved energy efficiency, automation of power systems and the introduction of modern digital technologies.
Graduates may work as power engineers, electrical engineers, power supply specialists, electrical equipment operation and maintenance specialists, relay protection and automation engineers, electric drive specialists, energy auditors and power system management specialists.
