About the programme

The training of specialists in the master’s program “Management: Sports Management” is conducted in a full-time study format.

This specialty belongs to the field of Business and Management. It includes conducting scientific research activities in the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its departments, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its relevant divisions, sports schools, specialized sports schools, Olympic and Paralympic sports training centers, sports clubs, sports federations and associations, sports organizations, as well as enterprises producing sports goods within the “Sport” Free Economic Zone.

It also covers solving complex management tasks in organizations of various ownership forms, non-governmental and non-profit organizations, small businesses, and private enterprises. It includes organizing and managing sports events, developing market activities in the sports sector, and forecasting and strategic development based on modern management principles and concepts. Therefore, this specialty is considered one of the most important today.

During the two-year master’s program in “Management: Sports Management”, students acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, mastering the most modern and essential disciplines in the field.

Program Structure

Within 4 semesters (2 years), students must earn a total of 120 credits.

Distribution of hours:

  • Total classroom hours: 900 hours
  • Research work and master’s thesis preparation: 1,110 hours
  • Scientific-pedagogical work: 240 hours
  • Scientific internship (practical experience): 450 hours

Additional Notes

  1. One credit equals 30 academic hours.
  2. The final state attestation period includes preparation and defense of the master’s thesis.
  3. Scientific internship is conducted at higher education institutions, research institutes, and partner organizations and enterprises. The first 5 weeks are held at employer organizations, and the next 10 weeks are organized at specialized departments.
  4. Due to the nature of this program and additional sports training sessions, theoretical education may be conducted online or in distance learning format.
