Mathematics and informatics

Olympiad problems got their name from the so-called mathematical olympiad competitions of schoolchildren and students. The purpose of creating problems of this category is to educate future mathematicians in such qualities as creativity, non-trivial thinking and studying the problem from different angles. The outward simplicity of Olympiad problems—their conditions and solutions should be clear to any student—is deceptive. The best Olympiad problems deal with deep problems in various areas of mathematics.
