Mining Engineering

Core Professional Competencies:

• Participates in surface and underground mining operations, including the opening, preparation, and extraction of rocks and mineral resources;
• Analyzes the stability conditions of mine workings and open-pit slopes, taking into account the physical-mechanical, physicochemical, and technological properties of rocks and mineral deposits;
• Applies the main methods of drilling and blasting, mechanized mining, rock crushing, and grinding;
• Participates in mine surveying and geodetic support, monitors mining parameters, the condition of underground workings, and the volumes of extracted and processed rock mass;
• Applies the principal mineral processing methods (gravity, flotation, magnetic, electrical, and combined methods) and evaluates the quality of concentrates, intermediate products, and tailings;
• Prepares technical documentation and complies with occupational health, safety, and environmental protection requirements.
