Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology

The specialist program in the field of "Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology" (specialization "Technology of Drilling Oil and Gas Wells Onshore and Offshore") is implemented at the department of Oil and Gas Well Drilling of the Branch of I.M. Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan). The program provides professional training for highly qualified specialists in the field of drilling and completion of oil and gas wells, reconstruction and restoration of wells, and workover of wells. Students receive a comprehensive education in the construction and repair of oil and gas wells onshore and offshore. Modern simulators and information educational technologies are used in the training process. The areas of professional activity for graduates include: the fuel and energy segment, including the development of oil and gas fields; construction and repair of oil and gas wells onshore and offshore; drilling supervision (supervising); scientific research in the field of drilling equipment and technology. The educational process is carried out by the faculty of both I.M. Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University), who are recognized experts in the theory and practice of constructing oil and gas wells onshore and offshore, and the branch department. The department has close contacts with major republican and international oil and gas and drilling companies.
