1. What will you study?
This programme is designed to prepare students not only as fluent and proficient English speakers, but also as linguists with a deep understanding of language structure, professional translators, and modern educators:
- Fundamentals of Linguistics: Theoretical English phonetics, grammar, lexicology, and stylistics. The historical development of the English language and contemporary linguistic trends.
- Academic Communication and Writing: Advanced C1/C2 writing skills in accordance with CEFR standards, including essays, academic articles, and research papers, as well as analytical reading, listening comprehension, and public presentation skills.
- Modern Pedagogy (TEFL/TESOL Foundations): Advanced international methodologies for foreign language teaching, lesson planning, learner assessment, and educational psychology.
- Applied Translation Studies: Oral and written translation skills for political, economic, literary, and academic texts from English into Uzbek and from Uzbek into English.
- Literature and Civilization: Masterpieces of British, American, and world English-language literature, as well as the culture, art, and history of English-speaking countries.
