About the programme
The Master's Programme in Vegetable and Melon Growing (70811901) belongs to the field of Agriculture and trains highly qualified specialists in the scientific organization and management of vegetable and melon (cucurbit) production.
The programme is oriented toward the efficient use of land, water, energy, and material-technical resources to raise the yield and quality of vegetable and melon crops and to ensure food security. Students develop advanced competencies in modern, resource-efficient cultivation technologies, the seasonal and protected-environment production of vegetable and cucurbit crops, the optimization of production processes, and the introduction of scientific and innovative practices into the sector. The curriculum also covers the planning, organization, and management of production, product quality and standardization, and applied scientific research.
Throughout the programme, students strengthen their research, analytical, and managerial skills and engage in scientific and innovative activity. Graduates are prepared to work in vegetable- and melon-growing farms and enterprises of various forms of ownership, agro-clusters, processing companies, scientific-research institutes, educational institutions, and state and local agricultural management bodies, as well as to pursue scientific-pedagogical activity in higher and secondary specialized education.
