ON THE PRESIDENT AND NAMED STATE SCHOLARSHIPS OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AND THE PROCEDURE FOR THEIR APPOINTMENT

State scholarships of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for undergraduate students of higher education institutions are awarded only to excellent students throughout their studies in public, non-state and foreign higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan, including joint education programs. is assigned and paid to final year students who are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
 

The following requirements are imposed on candidates participating in competitions for a state scholarship named after the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

a) for state scholarships:

excellent studies and participation in scientific (creative) work;

participation in conferences (competitions) in areas;

Know the history of Uzbekistan;

knowledge of languages - the state language and one foreign language (except for the state languages of the Commonwealth of Independent States), in special cases when the field of study at the undergraduate level is considered a foreign language, knowledge of one additional foreign language. In this case, applicants will undergo a special interview at the language departments at the place of study to determine their level of proficiency in these languages.

To receive a state scholarship from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, you must have at least two published works (articles, theses or works) on a topic corresponding to the area of bachelor's training.

Conducting elections

Nomination of candidates for appointment to state scholarships named after the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out by the councils of higher educational institutions on the basis of public discussion of the educational and scientific activities of the applicants.

letter of recommendation from the dean's office and department;

letter of recommendation from the supervisor for scientific (creative) work;

Based on the decision of the university council, information about candidates recommended for the next stage of the competition and relevant documents are sent by the responsible employee of the university to the Ministry’s website “scholarship.edu”.
