Information about the Faculty of Military Education

The Faculty of Military Education of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami is a military educational unit that includes the Special Training Cycle, whose primary mission is to ensure the continuous implementation of the educational and training process.

The Special Training Cycle provides instruction for full-time students enrolled in the 60111000 – Pre-Conscription Military Education bachelor's program. In the context of the large-scale reforms currently being carried out in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the training of future officers requires not only a high level of professional competence but also the development of strong moral and spiritual values, profound theoretical knowledge, and the ability to educate future defenders of the Motherland who are capable of making effective and unconventional decisions in various situations.

The professors and instructors of the Special Training Cycle conduct lectures and seminar classes in the following subjects:

• International Humanitarian Law;
• History of Military Art and National Heritage;
• Theory of Military-Patriotic Education;
• Leadership Skills and Ethics of Military Officers;
• Theory of Modern Armed Forces Development;
• Fundamentals of Military Psychology and Pedagogy.

In addition, to strengthen students' professional knowledge and practical skills in military specialties, the Special Training Cycle has established a number of extracurricular clubs, including:

• Volleyball;
• Young Rescuer;
• Military Psychology Club;
• Basketball;
• Table Tennis.

In recent years, particular attention has also been paid to enhancing the scientific and academic potential of the faculty members of the Special Training Cycle. The professors and instructors continuously improve their professional qualifications and actively prepare textbooks, teaching manuals, and academic publications, thereby making a significant contribution to the advancement of military education and the training of highly qualified specialists.

The "Elementary Education" Faculty of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami has passed a glorious period of more than 80 years and is ready to continue its activities with remarkable success in the future.

From the academic year of 1936-1937, the faculty started its activity under the name "Department of Pedagogy" at the same time as the Institute of Pedagogy (now the university). Platon Ivanovich Ivanov, a well-known psychologist and a skilled organizer of the educational process, worked intensively as the first dean of the faculty. In the early years, the faculty was tasked with training teachers of pedagogy and psychology, methodologists, educators of pre-school education organizations for the public education system.

Well-known scientists at the faculty: K.D. Dadayev, Sh. Boyburova, K.E. Bendrikov, V.F. Lubensov, V.N. Moroz, N.A. The Konstantinovs conducted the educational process. In 1957, for the first time in the republic, the faculty started training primary school teachers.

In 1959, the faculty was named "Pedagogy and Primary Education Methodology". In it N.V. Zubairova, I. Husankhodjayeva, A.T. Torayeva,
M.U. Umarov, A.G. Azizova K.K. Scientists like Kasimova worked.

During 1981-1990, the faculty expanded at the expense of talented young scientists, and the quality and efficiency of education increased. T. Tasetov, D. Muhamedova, T. Umarova, T. Azamov, Kh. Gulomova, Z. Ibragimova, D. Shodmonkulova, M. Hamrayev, Sh. Yoldosheva, M.Jumayev, M.Kadirov, M.M.Barakayev, M.Maqsudova, O.Rahimov worked.

The faculty was called "Primary education and defectology", "Pedagogy and methodology of primary education", "Primary education and physical culture", "Primary education" at different times.

In 1975-1983, professor Rahima Abdurazzokovna Mavlonova, Ph.D., in 1984-1985, Ph.D., Associate Professor S.N. Nurmatov, Ph.D. in 1986-1994, Associate Professor Sirojiya Valiyeva, Ph.D. in 1994-1998, Associate Professor Rustam Kabilov, Ph.D. 06 - Associate Professor Layla Sharapovna Nurmuhamedova, Ph.D. 017-2019 -years p.f.d. Abdumalik Abdumutalovich Akramov, Ph.D. in 2019-2020. Kadyrov Khayot Sharipovich worked as a dean.

From 2020 to the present time, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Sh.A. Abdullayeva is leading.

The faculty of "Primary Education" is a team that has scientific potential and works tirelessly on itself. A total of 1,971 students study at the faculty in the fields of education 5111700- "Primary education" and 5112000- "Physical culture". They are coached by more than 100 enthusiastic teachers with scientific potential.

The faculty has been leading in the training of high-potential, qualified personnel for the primary education system of our republic, making a worthy contribution to the social-economic, scientific-pedagogical development of our country. In particular, in our republic, it acts as a base faculty for the faculties of related universities in the formation of literature and normative documents necessary for the field of primary education, improving the skills of primary school teachers, popularizing their best practices.

From 1999 to 2002, as the dean of the faculty, associate professor S.Safaev, professor of psychological sciences, in 2002-2007, associate professor of psychological sciences F.I.Haidarov, in 2007-2008, associate professor of psychological sciences N.G. Kamilova, in 2008-2011, professor of psychological sciences doctor, professor N.S.Safaev, in 2011-2015 it was managed by Ph.D., associate professor N.Sh.Bekmurodovlar.

In 2016-2017, the faculties of pedagogy and psychology and defectology were merged to form the faculty of pedagogy.

In 2018, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology was established and is headed by Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogy, Associate Professor H.Sh. Kadirov as the dean of the faculty. D.U.Abdullaeva, deputy dean for working with youth, A.Vahoboev, deputy dean for academic affairs, and A.Sh. Mukhsiyeva, deputy dean for scientific affairs, are working at the faculty.

The faculty prepares highly qualified personnel for academic lyceums, vocational colleges, preschool educational institutions in the fields of pedagogy and psychology and psychology (general psychology).The following departments operate at the faculty:

More than 60 professors work at the faculty. Among them, 6 doctors of science are professors, 22 are candidates of science, associate professors and senior teachers.

Students who have successfully graduated from the faculty are awarded bachelor's degrees in Pedagogy and psychology and Psychology (general psychology). Those who want to continue their studies have the opportunity to study at the master's degree in these areas (except for Psychology (general psychology)). Students of the faculty can live in 10 student residences belonging to the university.

On August 29, 1997, in accordance with the adoption of the Law "On Education" and the "National Program of Personnel Training" and the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on February 24, 1998, Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizomi " The granting of the status of "Pedagogical University" prompted a radical change in the activities of the Faculty of Preschool Education. Since then, the faculty began to operate as a faculty of pedagogy and psychology.

During these years, the faculty trained teachers of the public education system - inspector methodist, pedagogy and psychology. The Faculty of Exact Sciences was established in 1935 as one of the three faculties founded simultaneously with the establishment of the institute. Since 1968, the Faculties of Physics and Mathematics operated separately, and in 1999 they were merged again into a single Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, which continues its activities to this day.

Over the years, the faculty was headed by R. Otajonov, M. Jdanov, S. Tursunov, B. Khabibullayev, S. Khodjayev, Sh. Maqsudov, M. Saydamatov, A. Boydedayev, N. Dadajonov, A. Khikmatov, Kh. Nazarov, M. The Faculty of Exact Sciences offers Bachelor's degree programs in the following fields:

The Faculty also offers Master's degree programs in:

The Faculty prepares highly qualified specialists who teach mathematics, informatics, physics, and astronomy in general secondary schools, academic lyceums, and vocational colleges throughout the Republic of Uzbekistan.
 

During the 2017–2018 academic year, the faculty members conducted scientific research under one fundamental research project:

Initially, the Department of General Physics was the only department within the Physics Division of the faculty. It offered courses in General Physics, Electrical and Radio Engineering, Theoretical Physics, and Methods of Teaching Physics.

Until 1939, the Mathematics Division had only one department—the Department of Higher Mathematics, where T. N. Qori-Niyoziy, Sh. T. Maqsudov, M. Qodiriy, O. Karimiy, and Suleymonov taught.

In the autumn of 1939, the Department of Higher Mathematics was divided into two independent departments:

• Department of Mathematical Analysis
• Department of Geometry and Elementary Mathematics

The following subjects were taught in these departments:

• Fundamentals of Modern Algebra;
• Number Theory;
• Foundations of Geometry;
• Theory of Geometric Constructions.

Beginning in 1998, the two faculties were merged once again and became known as the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.

The position of Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics was held by U. Sh. Begimqulov, E. M. Saydamatov, R. Z. Abdullayev, B. Islomov, K. Jumaniyozov, R. M. Turgunbayev, and D. Yunusova.

The Faculty of History has been operating since 1935, the year when the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute was established. During its early years, the faculty enrolled 23 students, and the educational process was carried out by a single department headed by Professor V. I. Krasovtsev.

Since its establishment, the faculty has trained more than 25,000 highly qualified history teachers for the national education system.

During the 1950s, the faculty functioned as the Faculty of History and Philology. In 1968, the Faculty of History became an independent faculty.

The Faculty of History is one of the oldest faculties established at the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University. At present, the faculty offers Bachelor's degree programs in:

• Methods of Teaching History;
• National Idea and Fundamentals of Spirituality.

The faculty includes the following departments:

• History of Uzbekistan and Methods of Teaching History;
• National Idea and Fundamentals of Spirituality;
• Theory and Practice of Building a Democratic Society in Uzbekistan.

All necessary conditions have been created to ensure that students receive a high-quality education. Classes are conducted in clean, bright, renovated, and well-equipped classrooms. Separate classrooms are also available for master's students, where lectures and seminars are delivered by highly qualified professors and doctors of science.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences was established in 1935 under the name of the Faculty of Nature and Geography. In the early years, three departments of botany, chemistry and geography operated under the faculty, and in September 1937, the Department of Zoology was established. During the Second World War, the faculty temporarily stopped its activities, and in the 1944-1945 academic year, the Department of "Nature and Geography" was opened under the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Departments of zoology, chemistry, botany, geography worked under the department. In 1953, the Department of Nature and Geography was removed from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and started working again as an independent faculty. By 1959, the Department of Biology and Basics of Agriculture and the Chair of Basics of Agriculture were opened at the faculty. The faculty was called the Faculty of Nature, Geography and Agropedagogy. In 1961, the late Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after V. G. Belinsky was merged with the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizomiy, and the Departments of Human and Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Economic Geography, Biology Teaching Methodology were established under the faculty. By 1963, the faculty was re-named the Faculty of Nature and Geography, and during this period, three full-time departments began to train: Chemistry-biology, Basics of Biology and Agriculture, and Geography-biology. Based on the Law "On Education" and the National Personnel Training Program, with the aim of training free-thinking, comprehensive, competitive personnel who can meet the requirements of the time and the basics of chemistry, biology, geography and agriculture. departments in the faculty were optimized in connection with the opening of the departments - Biology and its teaching methodology, Chemistry and its teaching methodology, Botany, zoology and nature protection, Anatomy, physiology and hygiene, Geography teaching methodology departments were established. In 1996, the Departments of Natural Geography and Economic Geography were merged, the Department of Geography and its Teaching Methodology, the Departments of Zoology and Anatomy, Physiology were merged, and the Department of Zoology and Anatomy, Physiology was established. In 1997, three in biology: Zoology, human anatomy and physiology; Departments of botany, ecology, nature protection and Biology and its teaching methodology were combined, and the newly formed department was named the Department of Biology and its teaching methodology. On February 24, 1998, the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizami was granted university status by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the faculty was named the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Since 2010, it has been called the "Natural Sciences" faculty.

About the Faculty

The Faculty of Philology of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami is one of the university’s leading faculties, distinguished by its long-standing academic and pedagogical traditions. The history of the faculty’s formation and development is directly connected with the training of teaching professionals in Uzbek and Russian languages, literary studies, and language teaching methodology.

Throughout its history, the faculty’s academic programmes and departments have been continuously improved in accordance with contemporary requirements and structural reforms implemented in the education system. Over the years, the faculty has trained highly qualified teaching professionals in linguistics, literary studies, the methodology of teaching Uzbek language and literature, and the methodology of teaching Russian language and literature.

Today, the Faculty of Philology offers programmes in native language and literature education, Uzbek language and literature, Russian language and literature, as well as other areas of philology. The educational process at the faculty is organised on the basis of modern pedagogical technologies, innovative teaching methods, and advanced international practices.

The faculty’s academic staff conduct research in linguistics, literary studies, textual studies, folklore studies, classical and contemporary literature, as well as the methodology of teaching native language and literature. Students actively participate in academic conferences, subject Olympiads, creative competitions, literary and educational events, and various research projects.

The main objective of the Faculty of Philology is to train competitive teaching and academic professionals who possess an in-depth knowledge of their native language and literature, can effectively apply modern pedagogical technologies, and demonstrate high professional, moral, and intellectual qualities.

Based on the requirements of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for the further development of the higher education system” No. PP-2909 dated July 20, 2017 in order to establish cooperation, develop academic and scientific contacts between leading universities of foreign countries on September 25, 2017, Tashkent State Pedagogical University Nizami and the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank (Republic of Belarus) signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami and the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank.

In 2018, in order to further strengthen direct and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education, culture and increase the efficiency of educational, methodological and research work, the rector of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami and the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank signed Additional Agreement No. 1 on the establishment of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami Uzbek-Belarusian joint faculty “Innovative pedagogy”, aimed at the development and implementation of joint educational activities. In September 2018, the administration of the created Uzbek-Belarusian joint faculty “Innovative Pedagogy” of TSPU and BSPU was appointed.
