    In order to increase the industry of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, to expand the training of high-level personnel in the basic sectors of the economy. By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, in November 2018, the Nukus branch of the Navoi State Mining Institute (later the Nukus Mining Institute) was established, and according to the decision. The Nukus Mining Institute at the Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies was reorganized on the basis of the decision PQ-186 of March 31, 2022.
   To ensure the quality training of highly educated personnel in the field of mining in the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the level of international standards, to develop scientific, practical, methodical relations directed to the field of mining using previous foreign experiences, scientific pedagogical and foreign, international It means that one of the main tasks is to establish a system of training of scientific pedagogic personnel by sending talented young graduates to higher educational institutions for master’s and doctoral studies.
   Currently, the educational building of the Nukus Mining Institute is located at 181, Nukus-Totkol highway. The library center, computer rooms, sports hall, laboratory rooms serve for students to get quality education in the institute building.
 

Our Institute has a student dormitory for 80 places, it is located on the territory of our Institute. For students from the regions studying at the institute, professors and teachers who came to improve their qualification, all conditions have been created, brought up to the level of modern requirements. The rest rooms are furnished to high standards, with hard and soft furniture and carpets. Televisions have been installed for student entertainment, and all rooms are equipped with new upholstered furniture. All floors have sanitary facilities and are provided with hot water. Modern heating systems are installed to ensure regular heating. Students are provided with the necessary equipment for studying in their residences and are connected to the Internet via high-speed WI-FI. Information and Resource Center constantly provides services to the students of our institute.

       As of today, the total collection of the Information and Resource Center consists of 15,353 books, including 5,515 textbooks, 6,093 study guides, 28 scientific books, 995 fiction books and 2,722 miscellaneous books.  To date, an agreement on cooperation between 21 foreign higher education institutions has been reached with the Nukus Mining Institute at the Navoi State Mining and Technological University within the framework of international cooperation in 2019-2024. Among them in 2019, Aktobe University named after S. Baishev, Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov Republic of Kazakhstan, Moscow State Technological University "Stankin". In 2020, the A.A. Chuyko Institute of Surface Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Vladimir State University Russian Federation. In 2021, Ulyanovsk State Technical University, Karaganda State Industrial University, National Institute of Technology Karnataka India, Sofia University of Mining and Geology Bulgaria. In 2022, the Technical University of Moldova, South Kazakhstan University named after M.O. Auezov of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh-Russian International University, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev. In 2023, the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov, Central Asian Innovation University, Peoples' Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov, Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan, Osh Technological University named after M.M. Adyshev of the Kyrgyz Republic.
