   History:
   Founded in 2022 in Tashkent, the Vatan University was established with a mission to blend traditional academic principles with modern technological advances. Quickly adapting to the needs of a globalizing world, Vatan University has made significant strides in establishing a robust curriculum and forming strategic partnerships with other leading educational institutions worldwide. This forward-thinking approach has positioned Vatan University as a pivotal educational hub in Central Asia, focusing on innovation and international collaboration.

   Overview:
   Vatan University offers a contemporary approach to higher education, emphasizing innovation and technology. With over 15 specialized undergraduate and graduate programs, the university provides a dynamic learning environment that promotes substantial academic and professional growth.

   Academic Programs:
   The university offers diverse programs in Digital Technologies, Economics and Business Management, and Pedagogy and Philology. It supports advanced learning through state, joint, and international diplomas.

   International Opportunities:
   Through its partnership with Far East University, Vatan University conducts dual 2+2 programs, allowing students to spend their first two years in Uzbekistan followed by two years in South Korea, earning diplomas in two specialties.

UMFT University One-Year International Student Service Package (2025/2026)

1. General Provisions

These regulations govern the admission process for international (foreign) citizens applying for study at UMFT University.
The rules align with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations and reflect best practices from universities around the world.
International applicants are defined as foreign citizens and stateless persons who are not citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2. Programs Offered

International students can apply for the following levels:

• Foundation / Preparatory programs

• Bachelor’s programs

• Master’s programs

• Double degree programs (joint programs with partner universities)

• PhD programs

3. Admission Timeline

• March – July: Online application submission

• July – August: Evaluation and interviews

• August: Offer letters and visa documentation

• September: Arrival, enrollment, and orientation
  (Intake for the spring semester may be opened for specific programs)

4. Online Application Procedure

Step 1: Application Submission
Applicants must submit their application through the official UMFT International Admission Portal: https://umft.uz/reception
Required documents in scanned PDF format:

• Passport copy (with at least 1-year validity)

• Official transcripts of previous education (translated into English/Russian/Uzbek)

• Diploma or certificate of previous education

• Proof of English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent)

• Motivation letter (300–500 words)

• Recommendation letter(s) (if applicable)

• Photo (passport size)

Step 2: Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $30 (or equivalent in Uzbek soum) must be paid online.

5. Evaluation and Selection Process

Applications are reviewed by the International Admissions Committee.
Evaluation is based on:

• Academic performance

• Language proficiency

• Motivation and study goals

• Alignment with program requirements

Entrance Exam/Interview (if applicable)
Some programs may require:

• An online entrance test (Mathematics, Logic, Programming – for technical fields)

• Or an online interview conducted via Zoom or Google Meet

Selection results are communicated within 10–15 working days after the interview or application review.

6. Admission and Enrollment Letter

Selected applicants receive:

• Conditional Admission Letter (for visa and funding purposes)

• Final Admission Letter upon completion of tuition payment and document verification

The Admission Letter includes:

• Program details

• Study duration

• Tuition fee

• Enrollment date

• UMFT University contact for visa and travel assistance

7. Visa Support

Upon receiving the Final Admission Letter, UMFT sends a visa support letter (invitation) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Student receives a visa reference number to apply at the Uzbekistan Embassy/Consulate in their country.

Required for visa:

• Admission letter

• Visa support letter (from UMFT)

• Valid passport

• Medical insurance (optional but recommended)

• Payment receipt (if tuition prepayment required for visa issuance)

Note: For countries with visa-free or simplified regime with Uzbekistan, this step may vary.

8. Arrival and Final Enrollment

Upon arrival, students must:

• Submit original documents to the International Office

• Sign the study agreement

• Pay remaining tuition fees (if applicable)

• Register for temporary residence permit with UMFT support

Students receive:

• UMFT Student ID

• Campus access

• Orientation program schedule

9. Language and Preparatory Courses

Students without required English proficiency can be enrolled in Foundation or English Preparatory Programs at UMFT.
Students may also study Uzbek or Russian language for academic purposes.

10. Tuition and Scholarships

Tuition fees vary by program and are published on UMFT’s official site.
Partial merit-based scholarships or discounts may be available to high-achieving international students.
Payment is accepted via international bank transfer or online payment systems.

11. Residence Permit and Health Insurance

UMFT assists students in applying for a temporary residence permit valid for the study period.
Students are encouraged to have health insurance valid in Uzbekistan. UMFT can suggest local providers if needed.

12. Withdrawal, Refund, and Re-admission

Students may withdraw according to university policy.
Refunds (if applicable) follow UMFT’s refund policy based on withdrawal timing.
Re-admission is possible upon request and approval within 1 academic year.

1) Far East University (FEU)
Country: South Korea
Date of Partnership Agreement: 16.07.2024
Purpose of Partnership: A joint degree program in the field of artificial intelligence has been introduced, the program will be conducted in English. During the program, UMFT students will have the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in Korea for 2 years. Later, it is planned to establish a joint faculty with FEU consisting of several educational areas.
2) Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences

Date of Cooperation Agreement: 21.06.2023
Purpose of Cooperation: Organization of academic exchange of students and professors, organization of joint academic and scientific activities between departments and universities in areas of mutual interest, scientific cooperation, including holding courses, conferences, seminars, symposiums or lectures, as well as exchange and sharing of educational and academic materials, publications, resources and other relevant information
3) Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST)
Country: South Korea
Date of Cooperation Agreement: 26.12.2024
Purpose of Cooperation: Organization of joint bachelor's programs in the fields of industrial, energy and biomedical engineering, organization of advanced training courses for UMFT professors and teachers at UNIST, participation in joint projects in the field of scientific research, implementation of an academic exchange program for students is being implemented.
4) Liepājas Universitāte
Country: Latvia
Date of cooperation agreement: 22.06.2023
Purpose of cooperation: Organization of student exchange programs and internships for staff and teachers, organization of joint academic and scientific research activities between departments and universities in areas of mutual interest, holding conferences and seminars, as well as provision of educational materials.
5) Technische Universität Ilmenau
Country: Germany
Date of cooperation agreement: 18.12.2024
Purpose of cooperation: It is planned to implement academic exchange of students and teachers and scientific research cooperation. It is currently agreed that UMFT students will participate in an exchange program at the Ilmenau Technical University for 2 semesters. According to the agreement, the tuition fees and participation in German language courses for UMFT students will be covered by TU Ilmenau, while living expenses will be covered by the student.

To provide the following ACCA certificates to students of the "Finance and Financial Technologies" and "Economics" educational programs without official exams: F1: Business and Technology, F2: Management Accounting, F3: Financial Accounting, F5: Performance Management, F7: Financial Reporting, F8: Audit and Assurance, F9: Financial Management
2) CISCO
Country: USA
Date of partnership agreement: 03/18/2024
Purpose of partnership: UMFT University receives CISCO "Network Academy" status, improves the qualifications of our teachers as CISCO trainers in special courses, integrates certified courses of the CISCO Academy in computer systems, programming, network technologies and cybersecurity into the educational process, and provides international certification of UMFT students at the end of subjects and courses.
3) KEI Advanced
Country: Japan
Date of cooperation agreement: 05/30/2024
Purpose of cooperation: Cooperation in conducting examinations to assess the knowledge of schoolchildren in mathematics according to the Japanese assessment system, students who score enough points in these examinations will be admitted to UMFT University without entrance exams in the future, as well as in the future it is planned to establish partnerships with Japanese universities, and introduce a student exchange program.
4) Ruijiye Networks
Country: China
Date of cooperation agreement: 07/08/2024
Purpose of cooperation: The implementation of network technologies offered by Ruijie Networks in the educational process, the establishment of a Ruijie Networks laboratory at UMFT University and the introduction of a training system in accordance with it, the organization of internships for our students in this company, as well as cooperation in exchanging experience with leading Chinese universities in this area are envisaged.
5) Odoo/UIC Group
Country: UAE
Date of Partnership Agreement: 12.06.2024
Purpose of Partnership: Within the framework of cooperation with Odoo, a system of in-depth training for university students on business process automation and efficiency improvement will be established, and students will be able to use CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
