Termez State University warmly welcomed experts from ASIIN, one of Germany’s most prestigious international accreditation agencies. Reflecting Uzbekistan’s traditions of hospitality, openness, and sincerity, the guests were received in a friendly atmosphere and began their visit with a tour of the university campus.
The experts familiarised themselves with the modern facilities and conditions created for students and academic staff, as well as the university’s green spaces. In particular, the natural greenery of the campus and the peaceful environment designed to support students’ academic and extracurricular activities left a highly positive impression on the international experts.
Following the campus tour, ASIIN representatives reviewed the regulatory and academic documentation required for the international accreditation of the Chemistry study programme and related specialisations. This process was conducted in a closed format in accordance with international accreditation standards and procedures.
One of the most significant events of the visit was a meeting chaired by the Rector of the university, Professor A. Toshqulov, with the participation of vice-rectors and relevant university officials. During the nearly three-hour discussion, the Rector presented the university’s recent achievements, ongoing reforms, development strategy, international partnerships, and future objectives in a comprehensive manner.
Throughout the open and constructive dialogue, the experts received detailed answers to all of their questions. At the conclusion of the meeting, they emphasised that the observations and evaluations conducted so far had left them with a highly positive impression of the university.
For reference, ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) is one of Germany’s leading accreditation organisations. It evaluates academic programmes in engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, and technology according to internationally recognised quality standards. Accreditation awarded by ASIIN is widely regarded as a mark of educational excellence and international academic recognition.
Today, another important chapter is being written in the history of Termez State University. This process represents a significant step towards strengthening the university’s international reputation, enhancing the quality of education, and securing a stronger position within the global academic community.
