A modern medical faculty and clinic will be established at Kokand State University
A major international project expected to bring medical education and the healthcare system in the Fergana Valley to an entirely new level is anticipated to be implemented. Within the framework of the visit of the delegation of Kokand State University, led by Rector Dilnoza Khodjayeva, to the People’s Republic of China, important agreements were reached that are set to open a new chapter in the history of the higher education institution. During the visit, delegation members held negotiations with the management of one of the world’s prestigious medical complexes, “Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital.”
As a result of the meeting, mutual cooperation agreements of strategic and historic importance for Kokand State University were reached. According to the agreement, this major Chinese medical center will provide direct support to Kokand State University in establishing medical education and developing the necessary infrastructure. Within the framework of the cooperation project, a modern Faculty of Medicine fully compliant with international standards will be established at the university.
In addition, as one of the key stages of the project, a separate campus featuring advanced architectural solutions will be built for the faculty, along with a modern university clinic designed to provide high-tech medical services to the population. The laboratory complexes and clinic are expected to be equipped with the latest medical equipment and innovative technologies available worldwide. Another priority area of the agreement is the continuous professional development of local medical specialists, the systematic training of doctors and faculty members, and the introduction of an internationally recognized certification system.
It is worth noting that the “Xi'an International Medical Center” operates as an integrated complex and is considered one of the world’s top five largest clinics in terms of capacity and operational scale. The medical center has established official cooperation with the renowned American “Mayo Clinic” network and holds the prestigious international JCI (Joint Commission International) healthcare quality accreditation.
The implementation of this strategic project, which carries major socio-economic significance for the university and the entire Fergana Valley region, is planned to begin in the near future.
