“A Shining Sun in the Sky of Creativity”: an evening dedicated to the birthday of the literary genius Oybek was held
At the Faculty of Humanities and Languages of Kokand State University, the 120th anniversary of the birth of Musa Toshmuhammadovich Oybek, a prominent figure in Uzbek literature, a renowned writer and scholar, was widely celebrated. On this occasion, the faculty organized a cultural and educational evening titled “The Sun That Shone in the Sky of Creativity.”
The event was attended by professors, literary scholars, faculty students, and literature enthusiasts interested in the writer’s work. It began with a lecture on Oybek’s life, the process of his creative development, and his contribution to the advancement of Uzbek literature. Speakers highlighted the writer’s creative path, his scholarly research, and the significance of his artistic legacy.
During the event, the artistic value, ideological orientation, and place in Uzbek literary history of Oybek’s major novels — Navoi, The Sun Will Not Darken, and Blessed Blood — were analyzed. It was emphasized that his captivating stories, essays rich in philosophical reflection, and lyrical poetry serve as sources of moral development for the younger generation.
Additionally, students read excerpts from the writer’s works, performed stage scenes, and presented artistic performances, which added a particularly uplifting spirit to the event. Oybek’s ideas of humanitarianism, patriotism, and justice left a profound impression on the students.
At the conclusion, it was emphasized that promoting the rich creative heritage of the writer, deeply studying his works, and passing them on to future generations is of great importance.
