Abertay University Delegation Visits Navoi University of Innovations: Towards Strategic Cooperation in IT, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity
On 11 August 2026, a delegation from the prestigious Abertay University, based in Dundee, Scotland, visited Navoi University of Innovations.
The main purpose of the visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of the educational and research activities of Navoi University of Innovations, its academic potential, modern infrastructure and international cooperation opportunities, as well as to establish mutually beneficial and long-term strategic cooperation.
During the visit, particular attention was given to Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity. The discussions focused on student and academic staff exchange, the development of joint academic programmes and projects, strengthening research cooperation, and introducing international best practices into the educational process.
The two sides also exchanged views on expanding cooperation across various academic fields, implementing joint research projects and educational initiatives, and creating opportunities for international academic mobility for students and academic staff.
The visit marked an important step towards strengthening international relations between higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and Scotland, expanding the international academic cooperation network of Navoi University of Innovations, and creating new opportunities in strategically important areas such as IT, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
