An Enduring Figure: Hamza Hakimzoda Niyoziy — 137 Years
The literary environment of Kokand has always taken pride in its outstanding representatives. One of such remarkable figures is Hamza Hakimzoda Niyoziy — a prominent representative of Jadid literature, a playwright, and a public figure. Today, on the occasion of the 137th anniversary of the writer’s birth, high respect for the enlightened creator was once again demonstrated at his memorial museum.
Speakers at the event particularly emphasized the writer’s significant contribution not only to literature, but also to pedagogy and theatrical art. In particular, M. Jamoliddinov, Associate Professor at Qo‘qon State University and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, delivered a lecture on Hamza’s complex life path and the rich creative heritage he left behind.
The writer’s passionate lines were recited by young people. Poems performed by students and heartfelt reflections gave the event a special spirit.
