The event began with a video presentation highlighting Professor Mamatov’s life path, academic achievements, and pedagogical legacy. This was followed by a speech delivered by the Rector of JDPU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Maqsudjon Yuldashev, who expressed his pleasure at welcoming the participants, read out the congratulatory message from the Governor of Jizzakh region Ulug‘bek Mustafoyev, and ceremonially presented commemorative gifts on behalf of the regional administration and the university.
Renowned scholars, professors, and philology specialists from Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, Surkhandarya, and other regions of Uzbekistan took part in the conference. They shared warm reflections on Professor Mamatov’s contribution to science, his role in training highly qualified specialists, and his exemplary personal qualities.
Students and colleagues emphasized his linguistic philosophy, noting that a person who deeply understands their native language learns foreign languages more effectively, while mastering a foreign language allows for a deeper appreciation of one’s mother tongue.
The conference concluded with a cultural performance by the university’s artistic group. The event became a meaningful tribute to Professor Mamatov’s scientific school, academic heritage, and lifelong dedication to education.
