Cooperation Between TSUOS and Liaoning Normal University is Strengthening

On June 8, 2026, an international scientific conference titled "China–Uzbekistan Humanitarian Exchange and Mutual Learning of Regional Civilizations" and a series of events dedicated to cooperation between the two universities were held at Liaoning Normal University in the People's Republic of China.

A delegation led by Gulchehra Rikhsieva, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, participated in these prestigious events. Within the framework of the conference, the title of Honorary Professor of Liaoning Normal University was solemnly presented to the University Rector Gulchehra Rikhsieva and Vice-Rector Nodir Karimov.

This high recognition was regarded as a worthy acknowledgement of their services toward developing effective cooperation between the two higher education institutions, supporting research activities, as well as strengthening educational, scientific, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and China.

At the solemn ceremony, the leadership of Liaoning Normal University emphasized that partnership relations with Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies have risen to a new level in recent years, noting that projects aimed at joint scientific research, academic exchange programs, and the development of inter-civilizational dialogue are yielding significant results.

Furthermore, an important document marking a new stage of cooperation between the two universities was signed — the agreement on the extension of the "2+2" joint educational program. This program enables students to complete a part of their education in Uzbekistan and the remaining part in China, serving to train internationally competitive specialists.

In addition, students of the "2+2" program presented the results of their educational and scientific activities. Ms. Liu Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Liaoning Normal University, presented books to the delegation of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, highlighting the symbolic significance of bilateral academic ties. Within the scope of the event, the opening ceremony of the "China–Uzbekistan Civilization Research Center" was also held at Liaoning Normal University.

During the meetings, issues of further expanding academic exchanges, implementing joint scientific projects, and deepening dialogue between civilizations were discussed.
