“Durdona”: a fresh perspective on national music

Today, the IT Park area of Kokand State University became not only a hub of innovative ideas but also a center of national melodies, youthful enthusiasm, and high culture. This musical evening, organized on a refreshing April day, became one of the brightest events within the framework of “Youth Month.” The program, which began under the gentle spring breeze, gathered hundreds of students from its very first chords. The main goal of the event was to educate the younger generation in the spirit of devotion to national values and to demonstrate to them the true charm of live performance.

The highlight of the evening was the “Durdona” folk instruments orchestra, which provided the audience with true spiritual nourishment. In the melodies of the nay, gijjak, and rubab performed by the orchestra, one could sense the rich past and bright future of the Uzbek people.

Rare masterpieces of our national classical music were performed live as part of the program, leaving the audience amazed. Modern compositions performed on traditional instruments, tailored to the tastes of young people, added a unique dynamic to the event. Students sang along to their favorite songs and energized the evening with national dances.

The engaging performances and intellectual games organized during the event tested not only the students’ artistic taste but also their knowledge. This interactive approach ensured that young participants were not merely observers but active contributors.

This cultural event organized by Kokand State University was not just a concert, but a significant social occasion aimed at enhancing the spiritual development of youth. Such evenings are important in fostering patriotism, aesthetic appreciation, and a deep sense of pride in cultural heritage among students.
