Harmony of National Instruments: An International Webinar Held at Kokand State University
The Department of Instrumental Performance of Kokand State University, in collaboration with Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (Kyrgyz Republic), organized an international webinar on “Integration of Instrumental Performance (using Uzbek, Turkish, and Kyrgyz national instruments as examples).” Professors, master’s students, and undergraduates from both universities actively participated in the event. During the webinar, scientific presentations were delivered on the national musical instruments of various peoples, their origins, performance styles, and roles in musical culture.
In addition, participants exchanged views on the musical traditions of the Uzbek, Turkish, and Kyrgyz peoples, the unique sounds of their instruments, and the similarities and differences in performance styles. They presented their proposals for preserving national creative heritage, educating the younger generation in the spirit of national values, and developing the art of performance.
During the webinar, professors and students performed live on national instruments, and through various cultural presentations, showcased the beauty and richness of folk music.
At the end of the event, the parties expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation in developing performance art, studying national musical values, and implementing joint projects in this field.
