Nationwide Project: Green Space
Within the framework of the nationwide project "Green Space," "Intellectuals' Gardens" have been established in higher education institutions.
At the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, an official start was given to the tree-planting marathon in the "Park of Intellectuals" on the territory of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute within the framework of the nationwide project "Green Space."
The opening ceremony of the marathon, held in a festive and uplifting atmosphere, was attended by the Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region Akmal Savurboyev, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, ministry officials, regional department heads, university leaders, and nearly 2,000 volunteer students. Simultaneously, the ministry's central office and the teams of all professional and higher educational institutions participated online from studios in 14 regions of the republic.
During the spring season, a total of 648,000 tree saplings are planned to be planted in 200 higher educational institutions under the ministry. On March 15, more than 30,000 trees were planted across the country, and the "Park of Intellectuals" was established.
As part of the event, held under the slogan "These gardens will become gardens…," 1,700 trees were planted on a 1.5-hectare area of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute.
This initiative contributes to creating green spaces in higher educational institutions and enhances the ecological awareness of students and young people.
