OMOUS-2026: Uzbek Students Achieved Outstanding Results at the International Mathematics Olympiad
Shahzoda Negmatova participated in the “SheSCIENCE 2026” Central Asian International Forum of Women Scientists.
From 23 to 28 March 2026, the VI Open International Mathematical Olympiad (OMOUS-2026) was held in Ashgabat. This prestigious academic competition brought together more than 600 of the most talented students from around the world.
📍 A total of 87 teams from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Russia, Netherlands, Hungary, Greece and host nation Turkmenistan participated in the Olympiad.
⚡️ At this prestigious international event, 151 talented students from 26 higher education institutions represented Uzbekistan. In addition, eight experienced professors and lecturers served on the international jury panel.
🏆 Uzbek students achieved outstanding results, winning a total of 103 medals in individual competitions and 57 medals in team contests.
👤 Individual Competitions:
➡️ Category A (specialized field): Uzbek participants won 51 medals, accounting for nearly 33% of all medals awarded in this category.
