Our university has become a member of a prestigious international organization
On November 6–8, Rector of Bukhara State University O. Khamidov participated in the annual meeting titled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Higher Education and Rankings,” organized by the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence in Bucharest, Romania. As part of his visit, he also held meetings with leaders of several top higher education institutions and international ranking agencies.
During the event, discussions were held on recent developments in higher education with several prominent figures, including Ligia Deca, Minister of Education of Romania; Waldemar Siwinski, President of the IREG Observatory; Ghassan Aouad, Rector of the University of Abu Dhabi; Aleks Fathollin, Vice President at Elsevier; Isidro Aguillo, Director of Webometrics Ranking Agency; Riri Fitri Sari, Head of the GreenMetrics Ranking; and others.
In addition, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Jo‘rayev actively participated in a number of negotiations.
As part of the event, Bukhara State University was accepted as a member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. This membership will provide the university with the opportunity to stay regularly and promptly informed about changes and trends in higher education and international ranking systems, and will help expand cooperation in this field.
