Students of Kokand State University became acquainted with the operations of a drywall production enterprise.

Our country continues to consistently implement initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and manufacturing enterprises, enriching students with practical knowledge and skills, and enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market. For this purpose, another practical familiarization trip was organized for students of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences at Kokand State University. Sixteen students from the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences visited a drywall production plant located in the Economic Zone of Kokand city. The event aimed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, strengthen their professional skills, and explore future employment opportunities.

The trip began with a visit to the Rishtan district. The students became acquainted with the processes of clay preparation, shaping, glazing (engobe application), and firing, with the participation of representatives of the renowned pottery school. This introduction helped them understand the practical manifestation of material composition, thermal processes, and physico-chemical changes in samples of folk applied art.

Afterwards, the participants visited a drywall factory. The company’s specialists conducted a step-by-step presentation. The students also learned about digital monitoring, energy-efficient equipment, and environmentally friendly solutions aimed at minimizing waste implemented at the plant.

This visit helped integrate the students’ theoretical knowledge with a real production environment and contributed to forming a pool of qualified specialists at local enterprises.
