From 6 to 9 June this year, the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change organised the international “Eco-Zakovat” competition in Samarkand.
The competition brought together teams from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, who competed by demonstrating their knowledge of ecology, environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable use of natural resources.
The event was preceded by a national qualifying stage among students of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, where the Termez State University team emerged as the winner and earned the right to represent Uzbekistan at the international level.
At the international stage, the TSU team delivered an outstanding performance and became the overall champion of the competition. According to the final results, Kazakhstan secured second place, while Kyrgyzstan finished third.
