The “New Uzbekistan” Newspaper Days were held at Kokand State University
As part of the “Newspaper Days” event, a meeting was held at Kokand State University with representatives of the central publications “Yangi O‘zbekiston” and “Pravda Vostoka.”
At the event, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Sharifjon Pulatov delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the importance of reading books and the press in the moral and intellectual development of youth, as well as the significance of cultivating a culture of reading.
Afterward, Ulugbek Asrorov, First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Yangi O‘zbekiston, published under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took the floor. He provided detailed information about the positive changes taking place in the country, the topical issues covered in the newspaper, its content and structure, and future plans.
As noted, today Yangi O‘zbekiston operates not only in print but also in the digital sphere, regularly delivering news, analytical articles, video interviews, and discussions to its readers via the internet and social media.
During the meeting, which was held in a warm and lively atmosphere, a quiz was organized among the students. Active participants who answered the questions correctly were awarded commemorative gifts.
The meeting was organized with the aim of increasing students’ interest in the press, acquainting them more closely with the work of national publications, and promoting a culture of reading.
