The Tashkent branch of National Research Nuclear University MEPhI hosted a meeting between the executive director and young people as part of Youth Day.

At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, every Thursday has been declared Youth Day in the country. On this day, heads of departments and organizations meet with young people, discuss current issues, and support their initiatives.

As part of this initiative, the Tashkent branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) hosted a meeting between the branch's executive director, Shavkat Abdukamilov, and students, young scientists, and staff.

During the event, the key initiatives and decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, voiced during a dialogue (https://president.uz/ru/lists/view/8967) with young people and aimed at expanding their opportunities for self-realization, were presented in detail. Particular attention was paid to the following issues:

🔹 Graduate employment and developing interactions with employers;
🔹 Government measures to support youth entrepreneurship;
🔹 Opportunities for attracting funding for start-up projects;
🔹 Developing scientific and innovative activities of students and young scientists;
🔹 Improving the quality of education and improving the learning process;
🔹 Educational work and creating a healthy university environment;
🔹 Developing the sports movement and supporting active youth.

During the meeting, students who demonstrated high results in academic, scientific, social, and sports activities over the past year were recognized.

The event was held in the format of an open dialogue. Participants asked questions, identified pressing issues, and made proposals for the further development of the branch. Based on the discussion's results, specific steps and management decisions were outlined.

The Tashkent branch of NRNU MEPhI consistently implements the state policy in the area of ​​youth support and creates conditions for the professional development of future engineers and specialists in strategic sectors of the country's economy.
