The World Boxing Championship among adults, held for the first time in Liverpool, England, is continuing with great intensity. This prestigious tournament, running until September 14, has brought together more than 500 boxers from 60 countries.
At this championship, Humorabonu Mamajonova, a student of the Faculty of Arts and Sports at Kokand State University, is also participating and proudly representing our country. On September 7, she achieved her first victory. Competing in the -57 kg weight category, Humorabonu confidently defeated Montenegro’s Bojana Gojkovic with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Our student will now step into the ring again on September 10 to fight for a place in the semifinals.
