The youth of Kokand State University are conquering big stages.
Today, the nationwide “Youth Day” has turned into a double celebration for the community of Kokand State University. The reason is that the university’s talented students are proving their outstanding potential not only in science, but also in the world of art and culture at the international level. On this occasion, a meeting was held between the university rector, Professor Dilnoza Khodjayeva, and the winners of prestigious international competitions.
At the center of the meeting were the participants of the 12th International Music Festival “Navruz Sadoalari,” which concluded recently in our capital and brought together the most skilled performers from many countries around the world. During the sincere dialogue, the university leadership especially recognized the achievements of young people studying in the field of arts, emphasizing that behind these successes lie tireless work and the guidance of mentors.
In particular, the “Durdona” Folk Instruments Orchestra, led by conductor Zuhriddin Abdullayev, became the pride of the Faculty of Arts and Sports, earning the applause of both the jury and the audience with its unique performance at the festival. The ensemble being declared the absolute winner and securing first place was noted as yet another victory of the Kokand school of arts on the world stage.
At the same time, it brought equal pride to everyone that the “Virtuoz” ensemble, led by Feruzbek Ne’matov, placed among the top three, while the talented student Xanifaxon Soyibjonova was recognized as the winner in the “Best Performer” and “Hope” nominations.
The most emotional and noteworthy aspect of the event was the respect shown to the mentors who teach young people the secrets of art and selflessly contribute to their development. In recognition of his outstanding service, the devoted artist and Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, Yaxyobek Mo‘minov, who has for many years prepared the younger generation for grand stages, was ceremonially presented with a traditional chapan robe by the university leadership in accordance with national traditions. This gesture became a symbolic expression of the continuity of the exemplary mentor-student school and the high esteem given to art.
While speaking with the young winners, Professor Dilnoza Khodjayeva stated that their every initiative, promising plans, and creative explorations would always be supported by the university administration. “Our main goal is to mobilize all opportunities so that talented young people like you can raise the flag of Uzbekistan high on the world’s stages,” the rector emphasized.
At the end of the meeting, commemorative gifts were presented to the winners. There is no doubt that this dialogue will provide students with tremendous motivation to conquer new creative heights.
