Training courses on the commercialization of scientific developments are being conducted with the participation of international experts.
International training courses aimed at developing the innovative activities of faculty members and researchers, implementing scientific developments into practice, and integrating them with various sectors of the economy have commenced at Kokand State University. These training sessions, entitled “Organization and Management of the Commercialization of Scientific Developments in Higher Education Institutions,” are being held from June 1 to June 6 of this year and contribute to the practical application of modern scientific achievements, the support of innovative ideas, and the enhancement of universities’ scientific potential.
To ensure the high-quality organization of the training sessions, specialists from one of Kokand State University’s partner higher education institutions in Kazakhstan — K. I. Satbayev University — were invited. In particular, Candidate of Technical Sciences Akmaral Daurenbekova, University Chief Manager Zafar Makhamatiyev, and patent specialist Asel Nurmakhanova are participating in the training as experts and lecturers. They are providing detailed information on modern mechanisms for the commercialization of scientific developments, international best practices, and innovative management approaches.
Within the framework of the training program, theoretical and practical sessions are being conducted on such relevant topics as the legal and organizational foundations of commercializing research outcomes, effective management of innovative projects, development of startup initiatives, protection of intellectual property, patent application procedures, and technology transfer. Special attention is being paid to strengthening cooperation between the university and business entities, as well as expanding opportunities for bringing scientific developments to the market.
During the sessions, participants receive practical recommendations on challenges encountered in the commercialization of innovative products, ways to overcome them, and mechanisms for attracting international grants and investments. The training courses are organized in an interactive format, including open discussions, presentations, analysis of practical case studies, and experience-sharing activities.
These international training courses play an important role in further enhancing the scientific and innovative potential of faculty members, implementing scientific ideas and developments in practice, establishing an innovation ecosystem within the university, and strengthening the integration of science and industry. At the same time, this initiative contributes to the development of commercialization systems for scientific research in higher education institutions, improves the economic efficiency of scientific activities, and promotes the creation of competitive innovative products.
Upon completion of the training program, special certificates are planned to be awarded to the most active faculty members and participants.
