Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Yingming Yang visited the Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies of Karakalpakstan!
On September 14, 2025, the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for South, Central, and West Asia, Mr. Yingming Yang, together with ADB representatives – Director General of the Central and West Asia Department Ms. Leah Gutierrez, Senior Sector Director for Human and Social Development Ms. Ayako Inagaki, and Country Director of the ADB Uzbekistan Resident Mission Ms. Kanokpan Lao-Araya – paid an official visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
As part of the mission, the delegation first took part in an event held at the experimental field of the Scientific and Production Association for Wheat and Rice in the Nukus district. The event presented information on the scientific and practical activities of the association and the results achieved.
Following this, the delegation visited the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology. The guests were welcomed by Rector B. Jollibekov, who introduced them to the institute’s activities, available capacities, and ongoing scientific and practical projects.
The visit of the ADB representatives marks an important event in the life of the institute and contributes to expanding opportunities for international cooperation in training highly qualified specialists for the agricultural sector and advancing scientific research.
