Youth Day – initiatives and new opportunities were discussed

At the initiative of the Head of State, the designation of every Thursday in our country as “Youth Day” is one of the important initiatives aimed at addressing the problems of young people on the spot, ensuring their employment, providing quality education, and supporting their entrepreneurial initiatives. This initiative creates broad opportunities to increase the participation of young people in social life, support them comprehensively, and realize their knowledge and potential.

In this regard, an open dialogue between the Hokim of Kokand city, Marufjon Usmonov, and students was organized at Qo‘qon State University. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the university, Dilnoza Khodjayeva, vice-rectors, professors and teachers, as well as many students.

During the meeting, which was held in a sincere and open atmosphere, the city mayor spoke in detail about the broad opportunities currently being created by the state for young people. In particular, special emphasis was placed on the conditions created for obtaining modern and quality education, acquiring professional skills, mastering foreign languages, engaging regularly in sports, finding decent employment, and establishing entrepreneurial activities.

It was also noted that supporting innovative ideas of young people, developing startup projects, widely involving graduates in entrepreneurial activities, and ensuring their employment are among the most important tasks of today. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of preparing competitive specialists with modern knowledge who meet the demands of the labor market.

At the end of the meeting, students addressed questions, proposals, and initiatives that interested them. Clear and understandable answers were provided by responsible officials to issues raised by young people regarding the quality of education, employment, opportunities for starting entrepreneurial activities, as well as city infrastructure and youth-oriented projects.

Such open dialogues are important as they help directly study the problems of young people, support their initiatives and proposals, and most importantly increase the active participation of youth in society. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that young people should effectively use the opportunities created for them and mobilize their knowledge and potential for the development of the Motherland.
