Architecture

Bachelor Full-time 4 year

About the programme

Bukhara State Technical University
Direction: Architecture

Every building is first born as an idea on paper, and then becomes a space where people live, work, and relax. The Architecture direction trains specialists who manage this process — capable of combining beauty with strength and comfort. This program at Bukhara State Technical University teaches the integration of classical architectural foundations with modern construction technologies.

What will you learn?
During the educational process, the student is shaped in the following areas:
Design and composition — the art of creating the exterior appearance, internal structure, and spatial solution of buildings and structures is studied. The student learns to prepare projects through hand drafting and computer programs (AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD).
Building structures — how a building's "skeleton" works, how loads are distributed, and which material is applied where are all analyzed from an engineering perspective.
Fundamentals of urban planning — the skill of seeing not just an individual building but the development concept of an entire neighborhood and city, and properly organizing public spaces, is developed.
Historical architecture and national styles — the styles in the history of Uzbek and world architecture, and ways of applying them in modern projects, are studied.
Interior design and landscape architecture — the skill of aesthetically and functionally organizing the environment inside and around a building is developed.

What will the student achieve?
By the end of their studies, the student is shaped into an architect capable of independently navigating the path from idea to finished project. They know how to listen to a client's requirements and create a project balanced in practical, aesthetic, and economic terms. The graduate acquires skills in preparing drawings that account for construction norms and safety requirements, 3D visualization, and overseeing the construction process together with engineers.
