About the programme

Description
Specialty economics  - this is a specialty in the field of economics, designed to teach special disciplines in all educational institutions, conduct research activities at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and industry research institutes, centers, scientific production associations, enterprises of various forms of ownership, in non-governmental and non-profit organizations, in central and local government bodies, the solution of complex issues of organization and management of economic activities in small businesses and private businesses covers a range of issues of human activity aimed at acquiring professional skills and competence in the specialty.
Content and Curriculum
During the course of the program, students study a number of fundamental and research disciplines related to the field of economics, including microeconomics-2, business research methods, Enterprise development strategy, research methodology, teaching methods of special disciplines, behavioral economics, theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in areas such as project management. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, allowing students to develop critical and creative thinking skills, perform research, identify problems, solve them and make decisions in the context of economics. Students are directly engaged in research work, and at the end of the course, a Master's thesis is defended.
Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of the program in economics (by industry and spheres), students receive the following knowledge and practical skills:
- conducting scientific and applied research, analyzing the results of experiments and making scientifically sound conclusions based on them, discovering scientific innovations;
- preparation and editing of scientific articles, lectures, brochures, educational literature, development of scientific reviews on the topic of ongoing research, compilation of abstracts and bibliographies;
- organization, holding and active participation in scientific seminars, conferences and symposiums;
- development of scientific projects on the topic of the relevant specialty, development of conceptual and theoretical models of solved scientific problems and tasks;
- implementation of pedagogical and educational-methodical activities in the specialty in institutions of higher education, retraining and advanced training, vocational education;
- organization of the educational process and scientific activities, conducting training sessions using modern information and pedagogical technologies, technical training tools;
-knowledge of the laws and regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the effective organization and management of economic activities of the state, local authorities and business entities and their use in their activities;
- quantitative and qualitative criteria of industries and spheres of the economy, determination of indicators of the borderline and critical state of economic systems and facilities;
- development of conceptual and theoretical models of solved scientific problems and tasks in the field of sustainable economic development and implementation of recommendations and developments based on the results of research and development;
- development of ways to increase the financial stability of economic entities and its development.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the master's program can work in various positions at enterprises, organizations of various forms of ownership related to economics, including as an economist, compliance control specialist, head of the financial planning department, internal auditor and consultant on economic issues. Teaching activities in institutions of higher education, retraining and advanced training, vocational education. Graduates have the opportunity to work in ministries, government agencies, commercial and non-profit organizations, and service sector firms. In addition, graduates can continue their research further at the PhD level.
