About the programme

The Master's Programme in Medicinal Plant Cultivation and Processing Technology (70811101) prepares highly qualified specialists for the cultivation, processing, and quality assurance of medicinal plant raw materials. The programme combines a strong scientific foundation in plant science with advanced practical training in modern, resource-efficient cultivation and processing technologies.

Students develop advanced competencies in the rational use of land, water, energy, and material-technical resources to improve the yield and quality of medicinal plants. They gain expertise in applying modern cultivation technologies, implementing advanced methods of seed production and nursery management for medicinal crops, and organizing the primary processing, handling, and storage of medicinal plant raw materials. The curriculum also covers production-process optimization, raw-material standardization, quality assurance and control, and the application of scientific research and innovative technologies in commercial production.

Throughout the programme, students strengthen their research, analytical, and professional skills by conducting scientific and applied research. Graduates are qualified to pursue careers in enterprises and farms specializing in the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, pharmaceutical and agro-processing companies, research institutes, quality-control and certification organizations, and national and local government institutions.
