About the programme

Course Objective (CO):

The aim is to provide students with theoretical foundations of economic knowledge accumulated and systematized on a global scale, to develop an understanding of key economic concepts, categories, laws, and principles, as well as their application mechanisms and the ability to apply them in practice.

 

Course Tasks (CT):

The course aims to introduce students to theoretical knowledge and economic reasoning methods developed at various stages of development and across different countries; to help them master methodological approaches necessary for logically analyzing economic phenomena and processes; to instill the core principles of the national ideology based on achievements in economic development; to reveal current issues in forming a modern developed market economy through modernization, liberalization, and deepening of reforms; and to develop national competencies in understanding the economy and economic relations.

Learning Outcomes (LO)

In Terms of Knowledge:

Have a general understanding of the foundations, stages, causes, and consequences of socio-economic development, as well as the characteristics of the modern market economy and economic laws and categories;

Be able to effectively apply methods for analyzing economic phenomena and processes, using knowledge of economic laws, scientific concepts (categories), and their mechanisms to develop solutions to economic problems;

Possess skills in understanding and applying the fundamentals of economic theory, the laws governing the functioning and development of the national economy, macroeconomic conditions, and the characteristics of economic processes.

In Terms of Skills:

Develop a general understanding of emerging economic systems, including their causes and consequences;

Form independent opinions and critical perspectives regarding modern economies and their implications;

Acquire the foundational knowledge and competencies required to become qualified professionals in economic systems and sectoral economics.
