Admission Procedure for International Students

At the University of Information Technology and Management (ATMU), the admission of international students is carried out based on Rector’s Order No. 1/M dated January 5, 2023.

1. Admission Procedure
International citizens are admitted on a tuition-fee (contract) basis, outside of the main government quota allocated for academic programs.

Each applicant must participate in an interview conducted according to the procedure established by the University's Admission Committee.

Based on the interview results, the Rector of the University issues an official order for admission.

2. Tuition Fees
The cost of education for international students is determined by the founders of the University.

Tuition fees are updated annually and officially announced. The cost is considered economically reasonable and competitive compared to other higher education institutions.

3. Living Conditions and Facilities
Foreign students are provided with safe and comfortable dormitory accommodations.

ATMU offers international students the opportunity to study in a multicultural environment, access modern technologies, and grow within a globally integrated educational setting.

4. Interview Requirements
The interview is aimed at assessing the candidate’s academic knowledge, communication skills, and motivation.

It can be conducted either online or offline, depending on available resources and conditions.

VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR ENTRY INTO THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

General Information

Foreign nationals and stateless persons may enter or transit through Uzbekistan only with a valid visa, unless they are citizens of countries with a visa-free regime (see list and durations below).

Visa Issuance Procedure

Authorized issuing bodies:

• Diplomatic missions and consular offices of Uzbekistan abroad;

• Visa section at “Tashkent” International Airport (in specific cases).

Invitation-based visa:

Issued based on an invitation letter submitted by a legal or physical person registered in Uzbekistan and approved by the Consular-Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Required documents from individuals:

• Visa application form (standard format);

• Online application from evisa.mfa.uz;

• Copies of passports of both invitee and inviter;

• Original permission from the Department of Internal Affairs;

• For airport visa: copy of flight ticket or booking.

Documents for diplomatic missions:

• Passport (valid for at least 3 months beyond visa expiration);

• Two completed visa application forms;

• Two color photos (35x45 mm).

Visa upon arrival at airport:

Citizens of countries without Uzbek consulates may obtain a visa at “Tashkent” International Airport upon presenting an approved invitation with visa confirmation from the MFA.

Consular Fees

Single-entry visas:

• Up to 7 days — 40 USD

• Up to 15 days — 50 USD

• Up to 30 days — 60 USD

• Up to 3 months — 80 USD

• Up to 6 months — 120 USD

• Up to 1 year — 160 USD

Each additional entry — extra 10 USD.

Multiple-entry visas:

• Up to 6 months — 150 USD

• Up to 1 year — 250 USD

• Up to 2 years — 300 USD

• Up to 3 years — 350 USD

Group visas (minimum 5 people, excluding children under 16):

• Up to 15 days — 15 USD per person

• Up to 30 days — 25 USD per person

E-visas:

• Single-entry — 20 USD

• Double-entry (up to 30 days) — 35 USD

• Multiple-entry (up to 30 days) — 50 USD

• Group e-visa (up to 30 days) — 20 USD per person

Additional service charges may apply depending on place of issuance.

Student Visas

STD type – Temporary Student Visa

• Duration: up to 1 year

• Purpose: short-term education through inter-university exchange

• Issued upon request of authorized educational institutions and ministries in Uzbekistan

A-1 type – Permanent Study Visa

• Duration: up to 1 year

• Purpose: full-time education at Uzbek institutions

• Issued on the basis of official requests from universities or state authorities
