About the programme
Foreign Language and Literature (Bachelor's Degree)
The Bachelor's program in Foreign Language and Literature enables students to attain a high level of proficiency in a foreign language, to study its culture and literature in depth, and to develop practical professional skills in the language. The program is structured to combine theoretical knowledge with practical mastery.
The principal aim of this field of study is to train qualified specialists who can use the foreign language fluently in both spoken and written forms and who are capable of conducting cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communication at a high level. Students master the language not only as a means of communication but also as a foundation for scholarly and professional activity.
Throughout their studies, students explore the phonetics, lexicology, grammar, and stylistics of the language, as well as the literature and culture of the countries where the language is spoken. The program encompasses practical language skills (listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing), the fundamentals of translation, comparative linguistics, and text analysis. In addition, the opportunity to study a second foreign language may also be available.
