The programme covers the set of professional fields related to the methodology of teaching English as a foreign language, the theoretical disciplines of English (phonetics, lexicology, grammar, stylistics), English and world literature and the fundamentals of intercultural communication, together with developing learners' communicative competences and organising the teaching process on the basis of modern educational technologies. Graduates may work as teachers and lecturers of English in preschool, general secondary, specialised secondary and vocational education institutions of the continuous education system and in higher education institutions, as specialists in foreign language training centres, as translators and interpreters in public administration bodies and local and international organisations, and in the mass media and publishing.
